Who are we?

Joanne Forbes, Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Joanne gained her CeMAP qualification in December 2018 and joined Phoenix Life and Mortgages in November 2022. She has a very open and honest approach and always strives to go the extra mile, to ensure that all clients can achieve the best outcome, in terms of a new mortgage, or protecting their home, their income and their family.

Christopher Leach, Executive Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Chris moved into financial services in 2000 and has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage market. He gained his CeMAP qualification in 2002 and joined Phoenix Life & Mortgages in April 2025. He worked as a mortgage and protection adviser in an estate agency-based corporate role, gaining vast experience and expertise in all types of clients and circumstances, enabling him to advise on the whole home-buying process. He prides himself on his high-quality service, assisting clients either buying their dream home, or helping them find the best rate on a remortgage, as well as protecting them to ensure they can keep it if the worst happens. When he’s not at work, he enjoys playing golf, walking his dogs and watching sports, especially football.

Mortgages

We offer advice on a range of Residential and Buy to Let mortgages, and have access to a large panel of lenders.

Whether you are a First Time Buyer, Home Mover, raising extra funds, or you are re-mortgaging your residential or Buy to Let property, we can help.

Most Buy to Let mortgages are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Adverse Credit? We have access to a number of lenders who will consider applications from clients with a less than perfect credit history.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up payments on your mortgage.

Protection

We recognise the importance of protecting your home, your income and your family against illness, injury or even death. We offer advice on Income Protection, Life and Critical Illness Cover and Family Income Benefit, and we will tailor this to suit your individual needs and budget.

Buildings & Contents Insurance

We can refer you to a local insurance broker, who will help you to ensure that you are protecting your possessions and home against such events as accidental damage, fire or theft.
